Container packing station – CFS
Stowing containers, securing loads, storing goods: our packing station offers the right solution for every container. As a professional service provider, our range of services also includes the handling of individual projects, bulk transactions and break-bulk – in connection with all modes of transport.
Full-service partner for freight management
Expert full-service provider: Our EUROGATE Container Terminal in Bremerhaven operates its own Container Freight Station – directly on the terminal site. The packing station has a total area of approx. 100,000 m2 – 35,000 m2 of which is covered. This means that goods can be processed regardless of the weather.

Lashing of containers and break-bulk
We have a firm grip on containers: with lashing, SWOP ensures that containers and non-containerized goods on board ocean-going vessels are secured for transport. Especially in heavy seas, the lashing protects the containers from shifting or even tipping over. This not only guarantees the integrity of the cargo, but also the safety of the crew. Additional special services at the terminal, such as the re-lashing of general cargo onto roll trailers or flatracks, are also part of our range of services.
Import and export
The right partner when it comes to import and export: SWOP. We guarantee reliable transportation of goods. With C-type customs warehouses, we have extensive storage space in Hamburg and Bremerhaven. In addition, our high-performance IT applications enable seamless documentation of all processes.
Export packaging and stowage services
Our priority: getting every load safely to its destination. Our team of trained specialists finds the optimal and standard-compliant packaging solution for every cargo – this applies to both sea and land transportation. Even heavy cargo, bulk goods or oversized loads are no challenge for our specialists: With the help of the latest technology at the EUROGATE terminals in Hamburg and Bremerhaven, we ensure that the packaging is suitable for transportation, optimally protecting every load from external influences, even during intermodal transport.
Our packaging and shipping processes are based on the respective guidelines of our clients. We work directly on site or at our terminals on flat racks, platforms, open tops or in closed containers. We provide our customers with all the necessary packaging materials directly, including prefabricated boxes and crates.
VGM
Whether export containers or flats: We weigh with an appropriate weighing system in accordance with SOLAS guidelines and method 1. This means that we determine the gross weight by weighing the entire container after packing. Our customers receive the weighing result by e-mail immediately after weighing.

At the locations in Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Wilhelmshaven, highly qualified personnel deal with all aspects of the life cycle of complex facilities and systems. This includes design, planning, procurement, commissioning and maintenance as well as technical development. The focus of our solutions: the future topics of decarbonization and digitalization.
