EGIM and driveMybox form a strategic partnership to strengthen digital trucking operations.
EUROGATE Intermodal (EGIM), a Hamburg-based provider of intermodal transport for maritime containers, and driveMybox, a digital platform for container trucking, are entering into a strategic partnership to further digitise trucking operations in Germany. As part of this cooperation, the new company driveMybox logistics was today founded as an independent company and wholly owned subsidiary of EGIM.

Telekom builds 5G campus networks for EUROGATE.
5G for the digitization of port logistics: Europe's leading shipping-independent container terminal operator EUROGATE has commissioned Deutsche Telekom to implement three 5G campus networks. At the ports in Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven, the 5G business customer solution "Campus network L" will improve mobile coverage at the container terminals.

EUROGATE introduces the ‚Digital Trucker Card‘ together with CONROO.
3,500 trucks pass through the container terminals of the EUROGATE Group in Germany every day to deliver or collect containers. The previous access authorisation for this in the form of a plastic card, the so-called trucker card, will soon be obsolete, however, because EUROGATE will soon replace this form of authentication for its terminals with a new, completely digital solution.

Start of binding container slot booking in Bremerhaven.
On May 2, 2023, EUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven (CTB) will introduce mandatory pre-booking and slot booking for truck handling at the CTB and MSC Gate terminals. The basis of the new system is the IT platform Truckgate operated by DAKOSY, which has been mandatory for container handling in Hamburg since 2017. EUROGATE CTB is thus setting the course for a uniform slot booking process in all German seaports.

HHLA and EUROGATE make joint declaration on cooperation talks .
In light of the current geo-political situation and its unforeseeable impact, the two terminal operators HHLA and EUROGATE have agreed to delay their talks on a cooperation until the general economic conditions have stabilised enough to ensure a successful continuation. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the results of the negotiations to date.

„Damietta Alliance“ developing and operating a new container terminal in Damietta, Egypt.
A new terminal will be built in the port of Damietta/Egypt. For this purpose, a Joint Venture was founded to develop and operate the new “Terminal 2” in the port. The Joint Venture “Damietta Alliance Container Terminal S.A.E.” consists of three core shareholders which are Hapag-Lloyd Damietta GmbH (39%), Eurogate Damietta GmbH (29.5%) and Contship Damietta Srl (29.5%). Two other partners, Middle East Logistics & Consultants Group and Ship & C.R.E.W. Egypt S.A.E., will each hold 1%.

Management change at EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg.
Johannes Stelten (57) will take over as Managing Director of EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg GmbH (CTH) on 1 March 2022, succeeding Tom Eckelmann (38), who is leaving the company after three years to assume new tasks at EUROKAI, the family-run 50% shareholder of EUROGATE, as well as in the EUROGATE Group.

EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven launches automation project.
EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW) is planning to convert its container handling operations in the coming years from a manual process to an automated system. The respective automation project will get underway in January 2022. The project has an investment volume of around 150 million euros over the next three years.

MSC GATE BREMERHAVEN PUTS TWO NEW CONTAINER GANTRIES INTO SERVICE.
MSC Gate Bremerhaven GmbH & Co. KG has confirmed delivery acceptance of two new container gantries manufactured by Liebherr. The two gantry cranes, which have been assembled on site at the Bremerhaven terminal since autumn 2020 and were placed on the quayside crane track in mid-February, have thus now officially been put into service.

REMAIN introduces remainMybox to fully digitize its business processes.
REMAIN GmbH Container Depot and Repair, EUROGATE group’s unit for the repair and maintenance as well as the intermediate storage of containers, has been using the new depot information and control system "remainMybox" since the beginning of 2020. The software, which was developed in collaboration with the IT department of the parent company EUROGATE, completely digitizes all operational and administrative processes of REMAIN and transmits all process data to the users in real time.
The coronavirus has now reached Germany, and it can be assumed that despite the measures taken to date, the number of infections will continue to climb. This makes it more important than ever for us to inform you about the current situation at Germany’s EUROGATE terminals.

EUROGATE Intermodal extends European network.
EUROGATE Intermodal (EGIM) expands its service portfolio. With effect from January 2020, the Hamburg-based provider of international intermodal container transport will offer up to seven round-trip departures per week between German seaports and Budapest. Of these, four round trips per week will run directly between Germany and Hungary and three connections per week will be handled by EGIM via its Munich hub, providing links to further European destinations.

MSC GATE BREMERHAVEN ORDERS NEW CONTAINER GANTRIES.
MSC Gate Bremerhaven GmbH & Co. KG has ordered two new container gantry cranes. With this, the terminal operator is investing in the future viability of the Bremerhaven location. The new gantries are expected to be put into operation at the end of 2020.

FIRST PORT CALL OF THE “MSC GÜLSÜN” – WORLD’S LARGEST CONTAINER SHIP DOCKS IN BREMERHAVEN.
The “MSC GÜLSÜN”, currently the world’s largest container ship, docked today for the first time at the MSC Gate terminal in Bremerhaven. Following a construction period of around three years, the ship was taken into operation by the owner Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) on 4 July 2019 and put into scheduled service (Silk Service) between Asia and Europe. With a length of 399.9 metres, a width of 61.55 metres, a draught of up to 16.5 metres and a transport capacity of more than 23,000 standard containers (TEUs), the “MSC GÜLSÜN” surpasses the current record holder, Orient Overseas Container Line’s (OOCL) G-class.

EUROGATE Intermodal (EGIM) further optimises traffic logistics within the congested port of Hamburg. The Hamburg-based international service provider for intermodal container transport via road and rail launched an updated version of its TRoad application on 06.05.2019.
