    3 Collection of personal data when visiting our website



    (1) We do not collect any personal data, with the exception of data that your browser transmits to our server, if you only visit our website for informational purposes, i.e. if you do not log-in or register to use our website or transmit any other information. If you want to look at our website, we collect the following data that are technically required to enable us to show you the website and to ensure the website is stable and secure (the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) point f) GDPR:

    • Date and time of website access
    • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
    • Content of the request (exact page)
    • Access status/HTTP status code
    • Amount of data transmitted on each page
    • Referral website
    • Browser
    • Operating system and its user interface
    • Language and version of the browser software.


    (2) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you visit our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk and allocated to the browser you use and that transmit certain information to the body that set the cookie (in this case, to us). Cookies cannot execute any programmes or infect your computer with viruses. Their purpose is to make the internet presence more user-friendly and effective.

    a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

    • Transient cookies (cf. item b)
    • Persistent cookies (cf. item c)


    b) Transient cookies are deleted automatically as soon as you close the browser. This refers in particular to session cookies, which store a so-called session ID and help to allocate various browser requests to one and the same session. This way, your browser is recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log off or close your browser.


    c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time that varies from cookie to cookie. You can use the security settings of your browser at any time to delete cookies.

    5 Objections against the processing of your data and withdrawal of consent.



    (1) If you have given us your consent to the processing of the personal data concerning you, you may withdraw such consent at any time. Such a withdrawal has an effect on the lawfulness of data processing after you have made the withdrawal.


    (2) If the processing of the personal data concerning you is based on overriding legitimate interests, you may object to the processing. This applies, in particular, if processing is not necessary for the performance of a contract with you; and this is explained in the following where we describe the individual functions. When you raise objections, we ask you to state the reasons why we should not process the personal data concerning you in the way we previously did. If your objections are justified, we will review the factual circumstances and will either discontinue or adjust the processing of personal data or demonstrate our compelling legitimate grounds to you that entitle us to continue to process the data.

     6 Newsletter


    (1) If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, you need to provide your email address so that we can send the newsletter. By providing your email address, you give us your consent to use the email for sending our newsletter to inform you of what is new within the EUROGATE Group.


    For newsletter mailings, EUROGATE works with CleverReach GmbH & Co KG, Felix-Wankel-Str. 16, 26125 Oldenburg, Germany (CleverReach). For this purpose, CleverReach stores the following data:

    • Form of address
    • Title
    • First name
    • Surname
    • Email address
    • Date of subscription
    • and any information you may voluntarily provide regarding your company, industry and how you became aware of our newsletter.


    Any personal data collected when you subscribe to our newsletter will exclusively be used internally in order to optimise and send the newsletter that you explicitly wish to receive. Personal data concerning you will not be sold or forwarded to third parties.


    (2) We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for newsletter subscription. This means that, after you subscribe, we will send an email to the email address provided and ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. Further, we store the IP addresses you use and the time when you subscribe and confirm the subscription. The purpose of this procedure is to be able to document that you have subscribed and to the able to investigate any possible misuse of your personal data.


    (3) The mandatory information to be provided when subscribing to the newsletter is email address, first name, surname and the form of address. Following your confirmation, we will store your email address so that we can send you the newsletter. The legal basis for this type of use is Art. 6 (1) point a) GDPR.


    (4) You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time by clicking the corresponding link at the end of the newsletter email without incurring any other cost than the cost of transmission in line with the basic tariffs.



    7 Social plugins


    1. YouTube-videos


    (1) We have incorporated YouTube videos in our online offering. These videos are stored on and can be played directly from our website. All the videos are incorporated in “enhanced data protection mode”, meaning that no data concerning you as the user are transmitted to YouTube as long as you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos, the data listed in (2) will be transmitted. We have no influence on this data transmission.


    (2) Your visit to the website provides YouTube with the information that you accessed the corresponding sub-page of our website. Furthermore, the data listed in No. 2 of this Policy will be transmitted. This is done irrespective of whether YouTube makes available a user account to which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data will automatically be attributed to your Google account. If you do not wish your data to be attributed to your YouTube profile, you need to log out before you activate the button. YouTube stores the data concerning you in the form of user profiles and uses such data for marketing and market research purposes and to design its website on the basis of user interests. Data analysis is also carried out, in particular, to display interest-based advertisements (even to users that are not logged in) and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to such user profiles being compiled. Such objections must be addressed to YouTube.

    2. Use of Web Fonts


    These web pages used external fonts, i.e. Google Fonts. Google Fonts is a service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). These Web Fonts are incorporated via a sever call, usually to a Google server in the US. This shows the server which of our web pages you visited. Google furthermore stores the IP address of the browser on the device belonging to the visitor of these websites.     In order to provide as much relevant information as possible, our website also contains links to the websites of third parties. Unless this is obvious, we will inform you that it is an external link. The website operator has no influence on the contents and design of these third-party websites, which is why we refer to the respective data protection policies of such third parties. The safeguards of this Data Privacy Policy naturally do not apply to those external sites.
